Are Open dives no longer enough for you? Is your thirst for experience not quenching? do you want to dive further?
You have become a good diver, autonomous, safe, responsible, it's time to go further, who knows what there will be beyond those huge rocks that are over the limit of 18 meters, perhaps a coral wall? or the lair of some big conger eel? And what will be inside that cave?
Becoming an Advanced Adventurer, will guide you towards diving tecniques to the fullest, becoming even more confident in your abilities through a series of activities that precisely have this final purpose, focusing attention on those aspects that we may overlook during a normal dive. You will develop better buoyancy management through the Perfect Buoyancy, you will understand and experience the use of Enriched Air Blend (Nitrox), you will develop your underwater navigation skills by deepening your knowledge of the use of the compass, you will experience the thrill of seeing new forms of underwater life during the night dive and you will descend beyond the 18-meter barrier. All experiences that will serve to give you greater awareness of the underwater beauties and future possibilities through specialization courses.
What are the course prerequisites? Certainly you must enjoy a good general state of health, you must be certified as an Open Water Diver by a certified diving agency (not just SSI) and must be at least 12 years old (if you are between 8 and 11 years of age, ask the Diving Center about activities for children and on licenses and specialties reserved for Junior Divers).
In how many days can I get my Advanced diving license? As with all SSI courses flexibility is the watchword, it all depends on your time availability, but normally an SSI Advanced Adventurer course requires 2 to 3 days.
How does the course take place? You will need to demonstrate that you understand and have learned an important section of knowledge development. Followed by 3 mandatory adventure dives (Optimal buoyancy management, Underwater navigation, Deep diving) and 2 chosen from those proposed by your Instructor. For each dive you will carry out a debiefing with the instructor to verify your understanding of the activities performed. The course ends with a knowledge check.
The SSI Advanced Adventurer course will mark the transition
from underwater adolescence to adulthood.
You can also decide to study independently via the SSI e-learning program before coming to us,
that's a special theoretical learning program that you will be able to carry out quietly from your home so you'll arrive at the diving center ready for verification of theoretical knowledge.
